For over 40 years, the homeowners, painting contractors, and historic preservationists of Montgomery and the River Region have been counting on John Lee Paint Co.

Our company was founded in 1974 by John Lee. Mr. Lee opened our first location on Fairground Road in Montgomery, and we stayed there until 1990. As business expanded, we moved into our current location on Coliseum Blvd.

Today, we enjoy 9,700 square feet of showroom and inventory storage. That makes it possible for us to maintain an incredible selection of paint, primer, stain, lacquer, and other coatings, plus all the tools you need to apply them.

Clint Carroll

Our store's current owner, Clint Carroll, began working for John Lee Paint Company in 2012. He recently took over the business in the summer of 2022.  He is thankful for the legacy that Charles "Bubba" Turner as well as Mr. Lee established.   

Building on to Mr. Turner and Mr. Lee's solid foundation, Mr. Carroll continues to develop an experienced staff that provides quality products and exceptional service. We take pride in our work and we always put the customers first.

Our rich history, team atmosphere, and knowledgeable staff make our store the River Region's oldest independent retailer of house paints, industrial coatings, floor coatings, stains, lacquers, and paint-related accessories.

John Lee Paint Co. is a family-owned independent coating supplier. Unlike larger national chains, we're not obligated to carry a limited range of manufacturers. We have the flexibility and privilege to carry multiple manufacturers for all our product lines.

That means we're able to offer you the largest selection and the best products for your project. Our experienced staff will work with you to choose the products that are most qualified for your project and offer the most competitive prices.
